  Farm Manager

  The assistant manager is required to work as part of the team to implement the agreed farm management plan, completing all tasks as required. It is expected that the farm assistant will understand the farms targets and help to implement the activities that will mean the business can meet those targets.Duties: •Repair and maintain all farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment.•Observe animals for signs of illness, injury, or unusual behavior; notifying veterinarians or managers as warranted.•Monitor animal care, maintenance, or breeding; or packing and transfer activities to ensure work is done correctly.•Assists the Manager with supervising and coordinating activities of farm workers engaged in cattle and sheep farming as well as the poultry hatchery•Welding/Soldering and brazing when required•Assists and coordinates worker activities, such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting and record keeping.•General Administration including reporting and customer queries Show less
