I was hired to do supervised visitation and was asked to coordinate this program within 6 months.

  I worked on a weekly basis as a youth services advocate at a rural high school co-facilitating two support groups and meeting with my own caseload of students who had experienced sexual violence, dating violence, and/or family violence. I co-facilitated a biweekly group on healthy relationships and related topics at Lino lakes Juvenile Detention Center and co-facilitated a weekly support group for adult survivors of sexual/domestic violence.   My specialty is with group and individual therapy specific to religious trauma, adverse religious experiences, and faith transitions, and supporting those in the LGBTQIA+ community in navigating the impacts on identity at that intersection. My passion for this work is driven by my identity as a genderqueer human, and both my personal and professional experience in this area. I support clients navigating gender confirmation medical care and have experience writing various support/advocacy letters. I maintain a caseload of approximately 40 clients with very low turnover. I run a 10-week queer religious trauma therapy group, based on my own curriculum, annually. I utilize evidence-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered therapy modalities including Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), AIR Network, Somatic Experiencing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in conjunction with Mindfulness.
