  Wastewater Design ProjectAssessment of the current condition and problems of Fort Bragg’s wastewater treatment plant followed by the accumulation of design alternatives to address existing treatment plant problems. Focused on the feasibility of a modular upgrade to a natural treatment wetland system.Storm Water Collection DesignPreliminary storm water collection system design for a small sub-section of Mckinlywille, CA. Catchment system design and hydraulic modeling were performed using StormCAD. Site evaluations such as elevation profile mapping and data generation, flow accumulation mapping, and catchment division were conducted in ArcGIS. Further project tasks include ground cover analysis, runoff coefficient calculation, time of concentration analysis, and sensitivity analysis.Municipal Water Distribution DesignDesign of a pressurized water distribution network for a small subsection of Mckinleyville, CA. Primarily using hydraulic modeling software EPANet and ArcGIS for map production. Project tasks included demand estimation, pump selection, system layout design and configuration, and capitol cost estimation. Pressure Retarded Osmosis (PRO) Power Plant StudySenior class design project studying the feasibility of a PRO power plant retro-fit at a local shuttered pulp mill. Included an economic feasibility study and preliminary plant design. Personally worked in the power generation group, investigating hydro-turbine design alternatives. Show less
