This module now is an integrated part of customized PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software a central repository for all product-related information.Idea generation: Use of Pro - cabling module for harness optimization:During the material composition testing of wiring harnesses used for refrigerators we came across a discrepancy where in the harness was not up to the drawing specification but still could fit during assembly process. Detailed study indicated the scope of wiring harness length / routing optimization. This lead to a lookout for wiring harness optimization tool, incidentally one of the modules in Pro-E. Routing optimization lead to a saving between 5% to 8 % for each optimized harness. Harness optimization using Pro Cabling is one of the best practices followed across Whirlpool.
