      • Pivotal in managing, monitoring and embedding plastic injection simulation driven new product development foot prints across regions for cross category products including Dish washers, Refrigerators, Washing machines, Dryers and Small Kitchen Appliances.• Participate in design reviews with suppliers and designers for Part design validation, Mold design validation, and process optimization.• Managing, monitoring and developing established third party engineering services channel for execution of Moldflow simulation projects.• Familiarize the team with the customer needs, specifications, design targets, the development process, design standards, techniques and tools to support task performance• Preparation of simulation specifications / simulation plans to standardize the plastic Injection molding simulation process for Model line projects Show less • Established and developed third party engineering services channel for injection molding simulation projects with an aim to reduce cost while improving quality, reliability and delivery.• Executed New Product Development ,cost reduction and quality improvements projects using injection molding simulations for cross category projects (Food stream solutions/Dish washers/Fabric care/Small Appliances)• Perform Design for Manufacturing (DFM) study and Participate in design review.• Supporting plastics component development phases along the NPD process for Whirlpool Corporation Brand Portfolio - Kitchen Aid, Jenn-Air, Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, Amana, Inglis, Consul, and Bauknecht.Established a third party engineering service channel for execution of Moldlfow simulation projects:- Identification and selections of third party- Streamlining the outsourcing process- Day to day Planning and scheduling of Assignments.- Ensuring Quality and delivery targets.- Team Handling, Mentorship and Development Show less Initiated, streamlined and monitored material composition testing process:- Identification and selections of Material testing facility- Day to day Planning and scheduling of Assignments.- Ensuring Quality and delivery targets.- Consolidation of Test data Define Attribute setting for Solenoid valves part consolidation: Objective was to lead a team and define the key attributes for solenoid valves that would help in part count consolidation in DFR tool (Design for Retrieval). This module now is an integrated part of customized PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software a central repository for all product-related information.Idea generation: Use of Pro - cabling module for harness optimization:During the material composition testing of wiring harnesses used for refrigerators we came across a discrepancy where in the harness was not up to the drawing specification but still could fit during assembly process. Detailed study indicated the scope of wiring harness length / routing optimization. This lead to a lookout for wiring harness optimization tool, incidentally one of the modules in Pro-E. Routing optimization lead to a saving between 5% to 8 % for each optimized harness. Harness optimization using Pro Cabling is one of the best practices followed across Whirlpool. Show less Worked as a Materials Trainee engineer.- Managed all types of material testing that includes Sheet metal, paints, plastics and insulation foam.- Pivotal in managing Material Lab operations- Worked on various quality control system and Cost reduction projects- Actively participated in the preparation of test specifications and coordinated Mold trials  Key projects:Part of a team that lead to introduction of innovative projects:- Antimicrobial, Antifungal Crisper Bins and door gasket.- Low cost Deodorizers.
