      As the officer in charge, I was responsible for ensuring all administrative and operational priorities were established, implemented, measured and completed. I had oversight of the Criminal Investigations Section, consisting of all of NWPD’s plainclothes and forensic investigative units, in addition to managing our Freedom of Information Unit and our department’s legal portfolio. I participated in a Duty Officer rotation. As the officer in charge of SSD, I approved all operational plans while assessing them for risk, budgetary considerations, logistics and viability. I was also responsible for the implementation of our 2016 strategic planning initiatives relevant to my reporting lines.
