      Marketing Assistant

      Summer Internship (unpaid) at DENIOS AG in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany, who specialise in the production of hazardous materials storage, thermo-technology, cleaning technology and technical/safety rooms. Worked as a Marketing Assistant where my role consisted of individual mini projects given to me by various departments including DENIOS Direct (exhibition planning, PR and digital/print advertising), e‐Business and Catalogue Management.Responsibilities:- Researching data statistics on future exhibitions in 2012 for Germany and abroad- Editing content on the German, Austrian, Swiss and French online shops using my basicknowledge of HTML - Creating a new brand name for one of the company’s new DENSORB products- Updating and verifying necessary changes to the spring catalogue schedule (required by all marketing departments in order to synchronise activities)- Translating aspects of the Marketing budget for 2012 and important PowerPoint presentations for the CEOs assistant into English. The highlight of my time at the company involved meeting with the CEO of DENIOS UK to discuss the launch of the new UK online shop, give my opinion on its content and layout and help with any problems regarding translation.       HP Customer Project and Programme Management Graduate SchemeBP AccountProgramme Management Office - Finance Management Lead on Chili Programme, Upstream Segment of the BP AccountProgramme to migrate data onto a new IT application used for the analysis of seismic data in support of sub-surface oil exploration and exploitation by BP.Responsibilities:Created and maintained 20+ project financial trackers on a weekly basis, ensuring that actuals were entered as per the weekly global time recording report and monthly billing files and that forecasting was completed as accurately as possible in line with key deliverables and milestones outlined within each project’s Service Fulfillment Document (SFD). Introduced weekly finance meetings with each of the Project Managers on the Chili Programme in order to review each project’s current financial position, give prior warning to any potential risk of the project going over-budget, notify the Project Managers of any invalid time bookings to their projects and verify all forecasts and actuals. Updated project forecasts in the Project and Portfolio Management Center tool (PPMC) on a monthly basis once actuals had been entered via the automated process set up by the BP Account Billing Team. Attended monthly financial review meetings with the customer in order to assure that finances were being tracked on a frequent basis, to give an up to date picture of the each project’s financial position and to assist in clarifying the figures if needed. Created Manual Billing Forms in order to debit/credit amounts between projects (e.g. when incorrect project booking codes had been used) or write off amounts that were considered as ‘unjustifiable spend’. Show less HP Customer Project and Programme Management Graduate SchemeRolls-Royce AccountProject Management Office and Risk Management Lead on Moor Lane Data Centre Exit ProgrammeMulti-million pound programme to efficiently decommission old IT infrastructure in the clients data center.Responsibilities:Created and maintained Programme trackers on a weekly basis including the milestone tracker, risk log (DAIR log) for SOAR review, change request log and communications plan. Introduced and maintained the new Programme SharePoint which included migrating large numbers of existing folders and files from the old SharePoint and organizing these into a newly agreed folder structure. Collected and quality checked weekly SOFT Report submissions from the Project Managers on the Programme which were then passed on to the Programme Manager and Work Stream Leads for the weekly scheduled 1-2-1 meetings. After final checks were made during these sessions, all reports were uploaded to the Delivery Office SharePoint for formal review at Account level. Initiated and ran weekly and bi-weekly project and programme level risk management sessions with the project managers and programme manager. Created 30+ paged Project Delivery Toolkits for each existing and new Project on the MLDC Exit Programme so that the project managers had all the key information they needed in order to help them successfully execute their projects. Show less HP Customer Project and Programme Management Graduate SchemeRolls-Royce AccountUK Business Change Lead on Service Transfer ProgrammeProgramme to launch the new Rolls-Royce IT Ecosystem by migrating the Rolls-Royce account towards a multi-supplier operations framework.Responsibilities:Assisted the Global Change Lead in all account-wide communications including the Programme communications plan, business change strategy document, monthly Programme newsletter, training and launch of Service Manager 9, planning and execution of the Service Transfer ‘lunch and learn’ sessions and input into the monthly Minibytes podcast led by the account’s Global Communications Lead. Established various Programme activities including multi-supplier introduction meetings, process training for account staff and weekly meetings with the Delivery Office Manager to ascertain the number and status of all in-flight projects on the account. Further responsibilities included the delivery of 15 Rolls-Royce laptops contractually assigned to HP for SM9, Remedy training, UAT purposes and facilitating SM9 access requests/queries to the tooling team so that users in the UK, Americas, Germany and Singapore could be loaded into the tool. Worked closely with the Delivery Office Manager and Business Operations Director to ensure that 2 of the 40 Programme milestones that were assigned to me (in-flight projects and facilities) were completed and submitted to Rolls-Royce on schedule.
