    • Bimi Online for Africa

      Nov 2018 - Dec 2019
      Co-Founder/CTO

Bimi ('ask me' in Yoruba) is a health information aggregation platform that seeks to provide free, easy-to-understand health information for patients in Africa in local African languages. We seek to bridge a knowledge-Information mismatch that exists in the health sector in Africa. There are only 6million native speakers of English language in Africa, of 1.2billion Africans. Yet >80% of health information available to them is written in English. This mismatch leads to Africa being the least health literate continent in the world. At Bimi Online our mission is to reverse that trend. I serve as the CTO responsible to developing all online platforms for the outfit (Website, Mobile Application) and ensuring their continued maintenance. Show less
