    • NH Hotel Group

      Jul 2011 - Aug 2011
      Waiter and dishwasher

-------------------- Description --------------------I worked as a waiter and a dishwasher at the NH Hotel Leewenhorst, in Noordwijk (Netherlands) and I found that it was a very rewarding job experience especially since I had never worked in such a large corporation.-------------------- Activity --------------------My work there consisted mainly in clearing up the customers' leftovers when they had finished their breakfast or their dinner. However, I found that working in the kitchen was less interesting for me because I could only talk with the other employees.-------------------- Skills and added value -------------------- Moreover, this professional education allowed me to learn more about service in luxury hotels, which is significantly different from the services offered in a hostel. Even if I know that I won't work as a waiter my whole life, the service and the contact with customers are the two things I liked most of all! Show less

      Waiter and bartender

-------------------- Description --------------------I worked in the Netherlands throughout the summer as a waiter and bartender in a hostel in Noordwijk (Netherlands). This summer job's main objective was to widen my professional experience, but also to earn money to finance my studies.-------------------- Activity --------------------My job wasn't really too specific since it was a small hostel. That's why I helped wherever they needed me. I changed the sheets, vacuumed the bedrooms, cleared tables, cooked, served the dishes, took care of the reception, worked behind the bar and so on.-------------------- Skills and added value -------------------- It was a very rewarding experience professionally speaking but also on a human dimension through direct contact with customers. I was also able to improve my Dutch, German and English thanks to the daily use of these languages. Show less

Moreover, I worked on the SM6, which is the line where we built the SM6 cells.-------------------- Skills and added value -------------------- The internship gave me an overview of the assembly line work because even if the orders are all unique based on customer demand, there are a lot of similarities so I often made the same cells.
