  Working in a team of 8 people on a project to restore from visual loss after retinopathy using acetylcholine.- Developed and designed the novel methodology to induce acetylcholine release during visual stimulation in an awake rat.: The treatment facilitates perceptual learning in the subject and increases visual perception.- Developed the behavioral task to measure visual discrimination capacity in a water maze.: Modified from previous method (Prusky’s water maze) to use with different orientation after electrode implantation.- Developed the electrophysiological method to measure brain response and visual acuity- Developed and programmed Matlab to analyze electrophysiological result and perform time-frequency analysis.: The program was used to measure brain signal amplitude, latency and perform fast-Fourier transformation as well as short-time Fourier transformation analysis. 더보기 취소

  The project is to analyze information flow in the hippocampus during memory task. I use Matlab to apply mathematical method (e.g. Granger causality or machine learning) on rodent electrophysiology data.Recently, I developed machine learning (SVM) based code to automatically detect sleep (NREM and REM)-wake status (83%) using EEG and EMG data. I also take care of mouse colony, handle the order of materials, present in internal or international conference and perform the experiments.

  The company is a CRO doing translational research for pre-clinical trial. My role as scientist is to design the experiments, perform, analyze and report to the client. My specialties are in-vivo electrophysiology and behavior test on rodents model. Experiments vary from one client to another so another important part of my job is to write a customized program to analyze the data faster.

  My team develop and test the candidate drug for dementia. As a team manager, my job is to ensure that all experiments are on the right track. Experiment design, work assignment and providing direction are essential to lead the team. As a scientist, I perform and analyze electrophysiology experiment.Recently, we received the research grant from Korean Dementia Research Center for a project of 3 years.
