      Lead Facilitator

      As Lead Facilitator at National Museums Scotland, my role was to develop and run schools and family workshops and learning sessions based around an interactive exhibition the Discovery Centre. This position also involved creating educational content for the exhibition, and assisting with the development of a touring exhibition Discovery on the Move, which I then went onto to set up and deliver to schools and other groups. I was also the manager to a small team of staff.

      My role is to inspire a range of new audiences to engage with the museum and its collections. The projects I run encourage people to contribute to the core work of the Museum, and feel connected to it through creative and skills based project work. This role also includes developing and delivering outreach exhibitions and resources including touring interactives and an outreach loan service. More recently I have been supervisor for a year long MGS traineeship funded by HLF (Heritage Horizons). I am currently studying for my AMA. I am particularly interested in art and design, and the capacity this has for enhancing people's lives and promoting well-being and personal development. Show less
