Oct 2021 - Jun 2022One task teamMy Lowes journey began part time in fulfillment. I would pull items for orders and stage them for pick up or delivery. I would tag & stage the delivery items for ease of locating.Essentially I did the shopping for the customer. Some of the orders I received came from curbside pickup, internets orders, or pick up laters. I worked in this position as transitional employment while talking with Army recruiting and collecting certifications flying unmanned aircraft. I worked 16-25hours miscellaneous days and times. In November/December I shifted to One task team, I moved to overnights. This gave me more availability to fly my unmanned aircraft and attend college courses. It also allowed me to travel knowing I worked a fixed 4 night schedule. I worked full time during overnights. This was a labor intensive position. I worked with a team to unload the items from a semi onto a rail, from the rail sorted by department onto temporary pallets, pallet jacked to the department on the floor, worked stock in the the shelves, and overstock used power equipment to place into “top stock”. I earned power equipment certifications for Order pickers, Narrow reach aisle forklift, Power sticker lift, Fork lift, and most recently an Electronic pallet jack. I cross trained assisting management and the pricing coordinator with updating signage in the store. This entailed printing pricing labels of various sizes and placing them in the correct locations through out the store. Additionally, I cross trained with management on inventory control. Updating top stock item labels, locations, and counts in the SIMS program for inventory. I checked items into top stock locations using a handheld device and checked items out of top stock when “down stocking” from overstock into the selling locations. I cross trained and periodically completed store scans, to include Down stocking and IRP (inventory replenishment program), these were walking the store scanning empty item locations. Show less
