We are interested in the gut-brain-microbiota Axis in this lab. My project was to examine the effects of neonatal dysbiosis on the behavioral and cognitive defects in adulthood using a mice model. We are looking at gene targets of inflammation (e.g. TNFa, IL-10, NOD2, etc.) to determine immunological pathways involved in response to neonatal dysbiosis induced by a bacterial infection. This change enabled 75% of patients to be admitted via private vehicle, enhancing the patient experience while maintaining CMS regulatory compliance.• Enhanced Subcutaneous Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) protocol utilization across 19 Kaiser medical centers, increasing adherence from 50% to 80%. This allowed safe treatment at lower acuity levels, improving care quality and reducing unnecessary ICU admissions.Innovation:• Led cross-departmental Think Tank using the Dual Transformation framework to drive innovation within a large organization.• Pioneered a wellness initiative for KP's millennial members, applying human-centered design, lean start-up principles, and agile methodology.
