We are interested in the gut-brain-microbiota Axis in this lab. My project was to examine the effects of neonatal dysbiosis on the behavioral and cognitive defects in adulthood using a mice model. We are looking at gene targets of inflammation (e.g. TNFa, IL-10, NOD2, etc.) to determine immunological pathways involved in response to neonatal dysbiosis induced by a bacterial infection.
