Kalila and Dimna (Ar., كليلة ودمنة) stands as a monumental work in world literature, recognised as one of the seminal texts from the early Islamic era. For over a millennium, it has served as a cornerstone of political education in Islamicate societies. It treats topics such as statecraft, political strategy, ethics and human behavior, employing narratives and allegories to convey universal insights about governance and leadership across centuries, languages and cultures.

      Jun 2022 - Oct 2022
      Co-Organiser

Ukrainian Culture Weeks was a festival of Ukrainian culture and intellectual heritage in the city of Oxford in September 2022. Jointly co-organised by Cherwell College, Dom Master Class and Oxford University Ukrainian Society, the aim of this partnership was to foster collaboration between British and Ukrainian academic and cultural institutions. The one-week festival consisted of 19 events held at 9 different locations in the city of Oxford. Bringing 42 renowned artists, academics, and musicians from Ukraine and various cities in Europe to Oxford, the festival's aim was to express gratitude to the British people for their solidarity with Ukraine. The festival has raised £125,000 in grants and donations for trusted Ukrainian charities. As a token of gratitude, the organisers donated signature Ukrainian sheet music to the special collections of the Bodleian Library (University of Oxford). Show less
