  Initially, I worked with students with severe disabilities in a life skills classroom. Later on, I worked exclusively with children with severe autism. Students worked exclusively on their IEP goals which correlated to common core standards but at their developmental level rather than their grade level.

  I work with classroom teachers and administration to create and implement curriculum and appropriate scaffolds for EL students. Students are supported in reading, reading comprehension, speaking, listening, and writing in English. Students are motivated by the use of technology, growth mindset strategies, and home/school connections. I worked with newcomer students in grades 1 to 5. Students worked on grade level content while learning English with the aid of SEI scaffolds.
