The responsibilities include and are not limited to:-Inspection and testing of pressure equipment and tanks.-Performing N.D.T (PT/MT/WT) on pipelines and Pressure vessels to check the integrity.-Inspection of Safety Devices-Implementation of the Pressure Equipment Regulations (PER)-Providing Recommendations to plant owners/operators after defects are found-Providing all services required by the user in my field of qualification.-Supervising and co-coordinating a team of N.D.T technicians to ensure work is done properly and as per Works Instructions-Knowledge of damage mechanisms and the morphology behind them.-Ensuring enough consumables are available during shutdown for smooth down period.-Ensuring all electrical devices used in the field of work are inspected and safe to use.-Basic understanding of plant processes.-Witnessing of Pressure Tests.- Compiling reports on the findings of each inspection performed.- Basic calculation of the remaining life of the inspected equipment.-Providing applicable information and training to the EIT during rotations.
