      The Scheduling Manager (SM) is responsible for focusing on continued improvement of the services and daily operations of the Scheduling office. The SM provides vision, leadership and supervision for staff. The SM monitors and reviews each of program’s schedules independently. The SM formulates and proposes policies and develops innovative strategies for resolving scheduling issues. The SM collaborates with departments across the University to ensure cross-functionality between departments.Essential functions include:• Performs detailed analysis to forecast scheduling requirements and University needs to ensure instructor coverage and course availability over the planning horizon.• Prepares comprehensive written reports, presentations, and charts based on research, collection, and analysis of data.• Gathers, analyzes, correlates, and evaluates actions concerning faculty to analyze future needs; escalates trends and recommendations to leadership.• Leads process improvements and best practice identification through analysis and synthetization of data.• Provide service level oversight, ensuring that service level strategies across the Scheduling Team’s functions are complimentary and support overall APUS business strategy. • Collaborates with other departments to ensure scheduling needs are resolved; compliance and contractual issues are reported and shared with relevant parties.• Participates in planning for team growth and restructuring in order to take advantage of employees strengths while developing the team workforce. • Oversees team policies and standard operating procedures based on academic and business best practices that streamline processes and increase efficiency. Show less A Faculty Scheduling Coordinator (FSC) is responsible for all faculty and course scheduling within the University programs that they oversee by working directly with Program Directors, Faculty Directors, and external departments to accomplish this mission. The FSC’s decisions are guided by policies, procedures, and strategic plans along with guidance and oversight from senior management. The FSC formulates and proposes policies in conjunction with senior management and develops innovative strategies for pilot projects. The FSC collaborates with other departments to ensure scheduling needs are shared and resolved; compliance and contractual issues are reported and shared. The FSC must be proficient in analyzing and synthesizing complex or diverse information, collecting and researching data, and using critical thinking skills and experience to compliment manual and automatic scheduling processes. Analyzed, monitored, and reconciled daily registration and drop/withdrawal reports between APUS and GoArmyEd when needed. Transferred and manually created degree plan information for students.
