  Geology Field Camp Experience

  Six-week traditional field camp experience in Bullhead City, Arizona. Mapped a variety of geological environments ranging from easy sedimentary strata to igneous and metamorphic complexes. Interpretation of geologic history from both local and regional geologic relations was necessary. Mapping techniques utilized both topographic base maps and GPS.  Field work in rugged and steep terrain including demanding hikes of considerable length and elevation gain. Made geologic observations and maps. Measured stratigraphic sections. Collected structural data. Conducted simple structural analyses such as cross sections.
