A course offered by the Department of Design and Manufacturing, IISc Bangalore. It is a course beyond books and coursework. The course started with learning Creativity in engineering design by Prof Amaresh Chakrabarti. Courses like Product design, New product Development, CAD, Design for Manufacturing, Account and finance, Entrepreneurship etc. followed by a year long project where students are expected to make a TRL5 product with complete packaging, marketing plan, business plan and branding… Show more A course offered by the Department of Design and Manufacturing, IISc Bangalore. Courses like Product design, New product Development, CAD, Design for Manufacturing, Account and finance, Entrepreneurship etc. followed by a year long project where students are expected to make a TRL5 product with complete packaging, marketing plan, business plan and branding. During the coursework, most of the projects are field based or hands-on, which provide enormous exposure to experience real life situations. Basics of Electronics, Basics of AI and computation, Mechatronics, Biomedical designing are also a part of the curriculum. The coursework is rigorous and develops the character along with providing technical knowledge. Most of the assignments being group work, it also taught me working in team. Show less
