  While at New Beginnings, I provided mental health and substance abuse counseling for ex-offender population through US Federal Probation working closely to ensure clients avoided recidivism. also implemented and oversaw the development of an outcomes monitoring system that documented program success rates of over 60%.

  During my time as Program Coordinator/Social work supervisor, I led a team of social workers to help formerly homeless tenants of Moore Place engage in clinical services and retain housing. I worked to ensure successful implementation of Housing First and Harm Reduction principles. And I encouraged staff creativity through facilitation of team building meetings focused on our organization’s values and mission. As a Senior Social Worker at Moore Place, I engaged tenants in clinical services to help them maintain housing. I coordinated Helping Homeless to Housing, an advocacy group made up of formerly homeless men and women, that held quarterly meetings with elected officials and an annual Candidate Forum focused on affordable housing issues. And I wrote a $2,750 grant to provide Peer Support training for five HousingWorks tenants.
