      As a Hall Director at Christopher Newport University, I was responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the university's residential community. As a full-time live-in staff member, I provided a safe and secure living and learning community that complemented the educational mission of the university and contributed to individual and interpersonal growth and development. My responsibilities included counseling, conflict resolution, program planning, fostering community, creating an academic connection, leadership development, crisis intervention, facilities management and assisting with the administration of the university conduct process. The major management activities are accomplished through the supervision of a student staff that consisted of 16 Resident Assistants and 2 Front Desk Assistant Coordinators and 14 Front Desk Assistants.       As a Property Manager, I managed the Assistant Property Manager, Resident Services Manager, Leasing Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Technicians, Groundskeeping and Custodial staff. I met weekly with maintenance staff pertaining to work order prioritization, maintains and monitors maintenance work order compliance. I walked the properties weekly and documented trash/maintenance related issues, requested market improvements to grounds and properties to the Regional Manager. I also completed rent roll audits, safety inspections, cross checks, and customer satisfaction analysis. I also scheduled move out and move in processes to ensure properties remained "move-in ready" at all times. Show less As the inaugural Assistant Property Manager for Walk2Campus Properties, I assisted in managing a 674-bed student housing complex. My primary responsibilities included but were not limited to the supervision of the Leasing and Marketing Coordinator and Administrative Assistant and Community Assistants. I created employee schedules, approved Community Assistant's payroll credits, created after-hours on-call schedules for Community Assistants, performed monthly rent roll audits, and completed quarterly market cross-checks. In addition, I completed customer satisfaction analysis, and annual marketing plan, oversaw marketing and leasing events, managed prelease/lead tracking, tours, and lead follow-up, and oversaw leasing and lead communication, I performed credit checks, financial aid eligibility evaluation, and responded to Rock Hill Office emails. I also handled complaints, requests for release, roommate disagreements, resident programming, and community events.       Online Student Experience Coordinator

      In my role as the Online Student Experience Coordinator, I facilitated and co-facilitated New Student Orientation sessions. Additionally, I chair the Committee for Inclusive Excellence and serve as an ex-officio member of all subcommittees. My work also includes the development and assessment of inclusion strategies. This data is used with the executive leadership team to create effective change management.In my role, I contribute to the mission of inclusion, belonging, and allyship through programmatic efforts, support, and training of student leaders. I accomplish this by creating a professional development curriculum for all students, faculty, and staff.
