  As a Hall Director at Christopher Newport University, I was responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the university's residential community.   As a Property Manager, I managed the Assistant Property Manager, Resident Services Manager, Leasing Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Technicians, Groundskeeping and Custodial staff. I met weekly with maintenance staff pertaining to work order prioritization, maintains and monitors maintenance work order compliance. I walked the properties weekly and documented trash/maintenance related issues, requested market improvements to grounds and properties to the Regional Manager. I also completed rent roll audits, safety inspections, cross checks, and customer satisfaction analysis. I also scheduled move out and move in processes to ensure properties remained "move-in ready" at all times. I also handled complaints, requests for release, roommate disagreements, resident programming, and community events.   As the Inclusion Consultant, I lead all initiatives that foster inclusion and belonging. I train all faculty and staff responsible for advising cultural and student advocacy organizations. Additionally, I chair the Committee for Inclusive Excellence and serve as an ex-officio member of all subcommittees. My work also includes the development and assessment of inclusion strategies. This data is used with the executive leadership team to create effective change management.In my role, I contribute to the mission of inclusion, belonging, and allyship through programmatic efforts, support, and training of student leaders. I accomplish this by creating a professional development curriculum for all students, faculty, and staff. Furthermore, I strive to develop a vibrant and caring community where intercultural dialogue, education, and cultural exploration can occur. Show less
