After 6 months I also took on the general facilities of the office due to the existing facilities manager retiring on ill health grounds. During this period, I was sponsored by the company to complete various CIPD qualifications in order to understand better the role of HR in the business and to be able to lighten the load of my manager. Chloride Group was purchased by Emerson as from 3 September 2010. I continued to provide confidential secretarial and administration services to the VP Human Resources EMEA, whilst also acting as Office Manager for the EMEA HQ premised in London Victoria and Baker Street.
