      V.A.

I have been working for myself as a Virtual Assistant since late 2013 and have built up a small portfolio of clients, but there's always room for more. I can offer a variety of administration skills including diary management, email organisation, client liaison as well as all general day to day tasks. I think I've summed it up best on my website as " I love being a Virtual Assistant. I said to someone recently, I think I’m like a stick of rock, I have Personal Assistant running right through the middle of me. I really enjoy sorting out diaries and meetings, love a messy inbox, and just really like being involved in the day to day admin of a business, if I can take the pressure of the admin away from you and allow you to focus on the most important aspects of your business, then to me that’s a job well done! "ve worked in administration in one form or another my whole career, I spent over 15 years working for a publishing company progressing from team PA to the EA to the Finance Director and Office Manager for the marketing team. While working there, it allowed me to develop my skills in dealing with people from all levels, from the postroom right through to the CEO's of large international companies. I worked in a variety of areas including recruitment and training, marketing, event management and finance. Prior to working in publishing, I have worked within leasing finance, insurance and conveyancing. These roles have allowed me to develop my skills in: Project ManagementEvent ManagementAdmin ManagementDiary ManagementBusiness AssistanceExecutive Travel CoordinationWritten & Visual CommunicationsPresentation PreparationGlobal Client and Customer LiaisonWorking at conferencesCo-coordinating Recruitment & Training needsOffice / Team managementAudio / Copy TypingOrganising and minuting high level meetingsResearch Show less

      Administration Manager

Working closely with the home manager on all aspects of running the Care Home. My main duties included, HR – dealing with all aspects of the 80+ staff including sickness, dismissal and maternity, working with the regional manager on disciplinary matters, payroll, liaising with the relatives on all aspects of care including financial and emotional, being the first point of contact within the home and being partially responsible for filling the beds. The absolute best part of this role was being so involved with the residents and their relatives, I really enjoyed the sense of being able to make a difference, in what was a very difficult time in peoples lives. LADO Assistant

I started here in Feb 2016 after spending the majority of my working life in the corporate world (apart from a year managing the administration side of a care home) and while the different culture was a shock at first, I can honestly say it was a great move. Working within child protection is a real eye opener and has encouraged me to start out on the journey that will lead me to becoming a social worker. I have just completed the first year of my degree through the Open University and gained a distinction. Show less
