Oct 2001 - Feb 2013From November 2008 I concentrated on the operations role within the company focusing on production and staff requirements. I continued to have day to day responsibility for the company sales office and production site. I oversaw all company projects in terms of life-cycle, documentation, and production. I also provided guidance to internal sales team for compilation of quotations and completion of pre-qualification vendor documentation as required.I continued to provide technical backup for both UK and European distributors and customers, and carried out site service and sales visits. I was responsible for pre-qualification vendor submissions for major European contracting houses for Robins and Myers sites in US and Europe.I carried out monthly reporting of production and shipping figures to international management in US. I had a general overview responsibility for production and purchasing functions carried out off site. Responsible for the Robbins & Myers operation in the UK in terms of both production and sales of progressing cavity pumps until a new Sales Manager was appointed in November 2008.During this period I provided the monthly reporting function to the US based international management structure. Following the acquisition my role changed to concentrate on only Oil & Gas market sector pump applications. I was responsible for overseeing the development of the Oil & Gas proposals team on both the Southampton and Manchester sites. Also to support the project engineers at the factory in Manchester with the compilation of project paperwork and compilation of MRBs. This has been an opportunity to refocus a general applications team to a specific task, to identify and develop internal systems to ensure the correct quoting of pumping equipment into a very specification heavy industry. During this time I have also provided back up to the aftermarket spares department when dealing with historical and installed Robbins & Myers pump units. Show less
