  As a long-time educator, I assume several varying leadership roles in my school. I have been an Arts Education Liaison since the 2016-2017 school year. This role involves collecting school-wide data, constructing a detailed arts report, which is submitted to NYCDOE, which is then published on schools.nyc.gov. In this role, I have also secured $35,000 worth of grant money that is used for outside arts organizations to supplement our arts curriculum. I am also my school's chapter leader, a position I have undertaken for several years.In my teaching practice, I send amongst the most students to NYSSMA (New York State School Music Organization) in the entire NYCDOE, averaging 25-40 students per-year, achieving nearly all excellent-outstanding ratings. My band and jazz band was selected to the Borough Arts Festival in 2018. Upon graduation, my students are sought after by the leading middle-school music programs in the city. Show less
