This position also maintains Vehicle Services Sections office supplies and equipment using department purchasing policies and guidelines.This position must be comfortable with multi-tasking, working with county-level elected officials, understanding how politics may play into inventory management decisions and the Vehicle Services Sections responses to them, making decisions that affect inventory levels, working independently with little to no supervision in the performance of his/her duties. Determines correct inventory levels, inventory types, method of restocking inventory, and timing of restocking inventory. Show less Administers and manages license plate and registration product inventory statewide at 64 county offices, 2 state offices, and 2 recall storage locations using the Plate Inventory Management System (PIMS) and Registration Product Inventory Program (RPIP), as well as other CSTARS and OIT generated reports and documents for 174 license plate types (255 inventory types) and 12 registration product types (50 inventory types).Analyzes inventory levels, initiates movement of inventory to locations below established levels, recalls and redistributes inventory between offices, and performs inventory movement transactions in the PIMS and RPIP programs.Develops written procedures for effective and efficient inventory management, movement of inventory, usage of systems and reports, and auditing.Develops written procedures for carrying out tasks, provides training manuals and reference materials to complete tasks in the most efficient manner.Completes an audit of county's inventory as scheduled by management, by physically visiting the county office and counting the inventory on the shelves to compare with reported inventory.Provides direction to Department of Corrections on shipment and movements of license plates and registration products within the agreements established within the Inter-agency Agreement between them and the Department of Revenue.Initiates shipments out of recall storage locations based on county demand, need, and foreseeable usage trends using established methodologies and practices to ensure sufficient inventory levels are maintained.Compiles daily, weekly, monthly and annual statistical reports by collecting and computing daily performance statistics and measuring overall workflow within specified time frames. Show less Along with continuing in my capacity in teaching and providing guidance as the lead prepping assistant, I now act as a mail room technician communicating with couriers, open the mail, and then sort it out to be distributed to the prepping team. I also perform archiving duties such as sorting sensitive documents and printing out cover pages. Then faxing, emailing, or distributing to the imaging department. I mail reject applications to the associated counties. I help the auditing team by performing some auditing duties such as auto-verifying applications that have already been prepped. Show less
