      Counsel for Dispute Resolution

As Counsel for Dispute Resolution for the U.S. Department of the Navy from 1997 to 2001, Carole had programmatic responsibility for designing and managing a comprehensive conflict management program covering the Navy’s environmental, contractual, tort, and workplace disputes. The Navy's flagship hospital, the National Naval Medical Center, was the pioneering site of the first Medic+Om, now called the Healthcare Resolutions Specialist. Prior to 1997, Carole was the Navy's Labor Relations Counsel, where she was introduced to interest based negotiation, mediation and facilitation - practices that forever changed her worldview on how best to manage conflict.
