  I owned and operated a general dentistry practice in Bloomington, Minnesota and incorporated a number of emerging dental technologies like diagnostic and soft tissue lasers and CEREC CAD/CAM restorations. I provided complete preventive and restorative services including the restoration of dental implants. During that time I also belonged to the Minnesota and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Seattle Study Club among other local study groups.

  As Assistant Dental Director at HealthPartners I am involved in advising dental administration on clinical concerns as they relate to dental plan structure and utilization based on my prior experience as a private practice clinician and clinical director and educator at the University of Minnesota. I also function as a Medical Director assessing authorizations for coverage of medical-dental services under HealthPartners plan coverage. I am also the lead in developing important risk assessment models for our dental group and contracting provider network in order to better assess, treat and manage our members and patients dental needs in an integrated model of care. HealthPartners is a community leader in this area and it is exciting to play an important role in care delivery from a plan perspective. Show less
