  In this position, my partner and I would go out and take samples of macroinvertibrates across multiple counties of Pennsylvania's Eastern regions. This was part of the Black Fly Surpression Program. We would wade in rivers, streams, and creeks in order to take these sample as well as going individually to various parks. Afterwards, we would report and transfer the data necessary for an accurate report of our productivity.

  In this lab, I file medical records during every shift. I file consent forms, Release of Information forms, and other such neuropsychological surveys. I also administer neuropsychological tests and interact with the participants on a regular basis. I also conduct eligibility screening, which requires that I know factors of varying psychological diagnoses in order to tell from answers whether or not they would be eligible for the study. I enter data into RedCap from paper copies, transfer data from paper and other online forms. Organizational skills are a must as if a patient were to come in, staff needs to easily find their information. Show less

  In this position, I call residence for telephone surveys based on health factors. These surveys are issued by the Department of Health of numerous states and hospitals, Office of Long Term Living, ALS research, Asthma research, and more. It often requires me to discuss participants private information and making them feel comfortable and secure. It also built up my ability to diffuse tense and stressful situation.
