  I head a non-profit menstrual health and hygiene organization called Svaasthy which operates across India. Svaasthy empowers women and girls while working towards breaking the stigma regarding menstruation, especially in the rural parts of India. We focus on educating the country’s youth regarding menstruation and promoting sustainable and affordable menstrual products. We have distributed over 12,000 non-reusable and reusable/ sustainable pads to over 1500 girls across Southern India. I have also held information sessions regarding menstrual health and hygiene for over 400 girls. To impact as many girls and women as possible, Svaasthy has collaborated with schools, NGOs, and private groups and organizations (like StoneSoup Foundation and Vidyadhaara). My ultimate goal is for this organization to become global and help menstruating people everywhere in the world. I hope that one-day menstrual products will become free for all women and want to be part of this change. Show less
