      Research Assistant

Worked with Armor Dynamics (in Kingston, NY) to construct a 3 dimensional, computer based model of ceramic based Magmacore passive armor. Appropriately sized bullets were created as well in a static environment, and were given an initial velocity. The models were run in a program created to simulate real world environmental variables, and armor destruction was documented and analyzed.

      Undergraduate Pilot Training

Recently hired at the 109th AW in Scotia, NY for the position of C-130 Pilot Candidate. Completed the Academy of Military Science and received my commissioning in May of 2014. Completed Introductory Flight Screening in July 2014, and expect to graduate from Specialized Undergraduate Pilot Training (SUPT) at Laughlin AFB in Del Rio TX in December of this year. SUPT is broken into two phases. Phase 1 includes 100 hours of training in the T-6 Texan, including advanced aerobatics, instrument, and formation flying. Phase 2 is a 100 hour program flying the T-1 Jayhawk (Beechjet 400). This program builds crew resource management skills, develops emergency procedures analysis, and hones instrument flying skills. Follow on training is at Little Rock AFB in AR, and includes almost 100 hours of C-130H simulator time, and 20-30 hours in the aircraft. C-130H flying developed low level tactical skills, NVG flying, and also different types of airdrops. Show less
