  Thesis work at LABORATORIO BIO-INSPIRED NANOMECHANICS (Politecnico di Torino) & KEYPOWER. Thesis project is about FEM analisys of a knee brace for sport use. The work has been done in collaboration with the company KEYPOWER specialized in the production of braces for high-level motocross athletes. The study proceeds with brace and limb recontruction using 3D scanner techniques and segmented bones obtained by RM images. Reverse engineering procedures allow to obtain 3D models used to performe FEM analysis in order to simulate sportive conditions and to evaluate if the brace is able to avoid or at least reduce knee injuries due to hyperextension and non-physiological movements..   I supervise the complete workflow for the realization of custom-made medical devices, ensuring the conformity of DICOM imaging, 3D reconstruction, 3D-printed anatomy, planning and surgical guides.I collaborate closely with clinics for surgical planning, developing custom surgical guides for osteotomies and bone defect corrections based on surgeon requirements and patient anatomy.I oversee technical documentation for MDR conformity, ensuring full traceability of production, from material selection to operator performance, and alignment with internal procedural standards.I conduct incoming inspections for outsourced products and ensure the conformity of internally produced devices to maintain high-quality standards.
