  Broadband Delivery UK is a delivery management group for UK policy on broadband. This includes a number of major projects:Broadband Delivery Framework contract governing over a £2.1bn investment of to which I participated in down-selecting Suppliers and writing the technical schedules.A summary of UK gov investments can be found here: http://www.culture.gov.uk/what_we_do/telecommunications_and_online/7763.aspxA separate £150m project to improve mobile coverage. I participated by putting in an model for mobile backhaul differentiated by supply chain scenarios.Thirdly, was involved in the "super-connected cities project". My responsibility was technical evaluation of bids, techno-regulatory support of the decision making process on this policy. Having specialist knowledge of NGA architectures, the UK telecoms act (2003) and EC decision on state aid intervention proved to be very useful in this context. Show less
