  The Resistance Heating phenomenon was studied and its commercial applications were analysed, tested and improved. Material selections for Resistance Heating were studied, with special emphasis on Nickel - Chromium Alloys as Heating elements. A metal core and heating element arrangement were designed similar to the use of the process in commercial applications such as furnaces, soldering machines, heaters and boilers, etc. The design was analysed theoretically, by means of heat flow equations and numerically, by means of FEA software simulation. These results were studied and compared for accuracy of calculations. Thus, the most optimum materials for heating element, core and insulation, along with the optimum current supplied, dimensions of heating element and mass of core could be determined for certain temperature required based on our study.
