      Mr. Roth was engaged with the Department of PNG Studies as a lecturer in 2008 and served the university for 7 years. While working with DWU, he was instrumental in establishing the International Relations program by writing the Program Specification Document which met the National Qualification Framework and Quality Assurance by Office of Higher Education and the program got accredited. He has also forged the partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade where top students from DWU's International Relations program are awarded at DWU graduations every year, recruited by DFAT, sent to New Zealand for Foreign Service Training and prepared for Diplomatic Calling in PNG's diplomatic missions abroad. Mr. Roth also got appointed to represent DWU at the national level where he is part of the Gr.11 & 12 Curriculum Review Committee as Subject Advisor and Grade 12 Exam Writing where he has written almost all Grade 12 Geography Exams, reviews exams and marks exams. Moreover, while being employed as DWU lecturer, he was engaged by Diwai Pacific, the university's consultancy firm, to undertake vital consultancy work with RAMSI & AusAID in Solomon Islands (Strategic Management Workshop), OK Tedi Mining in Tabubil (Developing the Youth Development Program for the Mine Continuation Area) and several others.
