      Project Leader

At Citi Bank Japan, I led offshore team for multiple projects, including:• Rate Server System: It captures market rates such as Foreign Exchange, interest rates, and futures from leading upstream sources including Reuters, Bloomberg, MarkIT and GBK. It validates these rates based on predefined criteria, calculates derived rates and Yield Curves and distributes them to critical downstream applications such as Trestel, Flexcube, Sydney Land, Wall Street, Credit Engine NY, OASYS, and PRISM. Distribution is tailored to each application's specifications, utilizing MQ series, stored procedure calls, API calls and SFTP/NDM for file transfers. This centralized repository ensures accurate, consistent, and timely delivery of market data to downstream systems, reducing operational costs and mitigating risks.• CMS (Confirmation & Matching System): It is designed to efficiently match transactions between counterparties or brokers and counterparties across FX (Foreign Exchange), MM (Money Market), and FXO (Foreign Exchange Options). For counterparties using SWIFT communication, CMS sends and receives MT300 (FX) and MT320 (MM) messages. Daily reconciliation of transactions is performed, and comprehensive reports are transmitted seamlessly to the Flexcube system. Single sign-on authentication across these systems is facilitated through Citisafe.• SJI (SECORE & JASDEC Interface): SJI acts as a crucial interface linking SECORE and JASDEC systems at Citibank. It facilitates the matching of deals initiated via SECORE with corresponding details from JASDEC through MT54x messages. SJI manages confirmation messaging post pre-matching, oversees settlement processes, and ensures accurate post-settlement confirmations are sent to all relevant parties involved. Show less

    • Standard Chartered Bank

      Apr 2011 - May 2014
      Solution Architect (Asset Control)

At SCB, I led various projects for Market Rate System to manage static and time-series instrument data crucial for Group Market Risk operations. Instrument data sourced from leading vendors such as Bloomberg, Reuters, MDS, and MARKIT underwent parsing, filtering and stored within Asset Control as raw data. Subsequently, the raw data is consolidated, cleansed and validated to get normalized data. Validated instrument data was utilized for sophisticated financial operations like curve construction (e.g., Bootstrapping Zero Curve), interpolation, and extrapolation. This served as a cornerstone repository for comprehensive instrument details, facilitating crucial functions across the bank. This data played a pivotal role in risk calculation, strategic planning, compliance and regulatory reporting, as well as assessing bank exposure and client valuation. Interaction with Reference Data occurred through diverse modes including file/data transfer protocols (FTP/SFTP/MQ), direct database access via stored procedure calls, and system/application interfaces (AC-Com/API calls).Implementation relied on robust scheduling facilitated by cron jobs to manage various batch processes effectively.
