Nominated as president by the organization's leadership after completing a multi-phase website development. Managed the further development of web system for publishing newsletters, case studies, and event registration. I led the organization's transition from print media to internet based tools, increasing distribution and access at a significantly reduced cost. I pioneered the use of cloud-based collaboration tools to streamline management of organizational documents and records, developing systems and procedures that would later be adopted by MWA as a fundamental project management tool. Show less Created an energy survey program to help low income households save money through energy conservation. I developed and optimized survey procedures, training and managing a staff of independent surveyors. A third party analysis verified effectiveness of the program, growing the program from 100 to 300 households. The program operations were so successful that I was able to delegate most of the operations, after returning to MWA full time. The program generated enough surplus income to sustain the organization's operations for seven years. Show less

Grocery Outlet - New Commercial of the Year Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe Dec 2020 I led the design, permitting, and construction of this unique mixed use, infill, 16,147 sq ft Grocery Store, with 3 affordable housing units. The building was designed to function as a multi-tenant center in response to community opposition to construction of large, single tenant "box stores." The project demanded fitting the store on a 1.5 acre site, with 57 parking stalls, covered & heated truck dock and service areas. We overcame fierce opposition, and the project was labeled the most controversial proposal involved in Truckee's Grocery "Store Wars". I leveraged the use of sustainable building practices and objective economic drivers to get the project approved. The construction was completed on schedule despite COVID 19 lock downs during constructions, losing key team members during critical stages of the design and construction. Show less
