      As one of the public faces of Contact, I extended a warm and safe welcome to our young people, visitors and collaborators. I supervised the Visitor Experience team and was responsible for the day-to-day running of the premises, including; key holding, first aid, health and safety, access, managing front of house during shows and events, customer service, audience experience, venue tours, operational planning, staff training, 1-2-1s, creating staff rotas, scheduling, reporting and capturing audience data. As part of my contribution to the organisation’s Access Working Group, I used my lived experience to help develop access provisions - across visitor experience; from the booking stage to post-event care.       I was 1 of 9 disabled artists to be awarded a micro-commission from the Collaborative Touring Network, Unlimited and The Old Courts, in association with Touretteshero.Through this micro-commission, I began to explore my lived experience of chronic illness, internalised ableism and societal barriers through science fiction.

      I provided administrative and engagement support to the Salford Cultural Education Partnership; a network that supports access to cultural education for young people in Salford. I supported their new CPD offer to provide educators with tools, skills and knowledge in various creative practices that they can take back to the classroom. As part of my role, I supported the planning of sessions and engaged with educators to encourage sign-ups via social media and direct communication. I attended sessions to support workshop delivery, collated feedback to produce evaluations and provided consultation on the development of the project.       I produced the work experience project to provide developmental support and pastoral care to secondary school students interested in pursuing careers in arts and culture, through coordinating workshops, meetings and off-site trips. My duties included managing safeguarding, scheduling, bookings, risk assessments and evaluations. I also facilitated sessions on access, theatre-making and career routes.

      Through Dibby’s programme of paid talent development for LGBTQIA+ people, I supported the process and premiere of ‘Toxic’ at HOME. My duties included arts admin, tracking environmental sustainability, rehearsal support, capturing content for social media, developing their access provision in collaboration with HOME and facilitating a community feedback session with vulnerable audiences.

      I have been rehired to continue as an access consultant on Sweet Dreams. "A new immersive storytelling experience from award-winning art collective Marshmallow Laser Feast – a visual feast for the senses". Premiering at Aviva Studios in July 2024. I have been rehired to create and deliver a Front of House Access Training Handbook and suite of training videos for over 200 front facing staff members at Aviva Studios, using data I gathered from staff consultation around visitor access and experience. I was selected to cover the absence of one of Factory International’s Access Managers for three months to maintain progress and momentum across all the access workstreams at Aviva Studios. My focus was to develop the venue framework for the Attitude Is Everything Charter and support producers and front of house to integrate access into large scale events, including, The Welcome, A Night with Johnny Marr, Children of Zeus and Sweet Dreams.

      I am the access consultant for Elle Chante, an Unlimited UK Partner Award 2023 commissioned artist with The Glasshouse International Centre for Music. Accessible Dreamscapes is an immersive performance, which combines ethereal vocals, dance informed by chronic pain, and a variety of tactile stimuli. I am providing access support for team members, performers and the audience.

      I am the access consultant for the award winning neurodivergent writer and performer, Beth Westbrook. A finalist for Hope Mill Theatre's ‘Through the Mill’ Prize 2021, Sunny Girl is the anti rain man, and aims to show a side of autism that is very rarely seen on stage and screen. I am working alongside the lead artist, producer, director and the venue to embed access for the creative team and our audiences.

      100 Creative Agents of Climate Change is a new art and activism project connecting change-makers from around the world with young people aged 18-30 to develop their skills, knowledge and capacity in building creative campaigns to mobilise communities in the fight against climate change.The project will see the delivery of an online residency co-curated by young people and focused on understanding and communicating the current and future threats to our climate.Young people will utilise ideas in creative campaigning from around the world to make their own projects and campaigns to engage other young people from their communities (on and offline) with a clear call to action. They will develop skills in climate knowledge/literacy, cultural leadership, creative activism, cultural production and management, entrepreneurship and creative skills for making change, advocacy, campaigning and influencing policy.
