  Engineer intern

  Initially, this was just supposed to be a summer internship. However, due to the pandemic and my classes switching to online courses, they were able to keep me on for a whole year working in various different positions. When I was first brought on, I was sent out to Lemoore to work on a solar site, working on everything from quality control to underground wire, solar panels, and combiner boxes to organizing the effort to provide a detailed excel sheet providing the exact location of where each and every single solar panel was on that solar site. Afterwards, I was sent to the Visalia office to learn about project management. I learned a variety of different skills including how to renew and make USA tickets to putting together user manuals for project we had completed. From there, I moved to the Fresno office and worked out of the shop, learning about the different types of materials needed out at job sites, and how we, as a company, went about getting it from the various local vendors.   Research assistant

  This position was connected to my senior design project during the final year of my undergraduate degree. I worked in a group with Dr. Hovannes Kulhandjian on the Roadway and Bridge Inspection Drone utilizing Machine Learning project. I took the lead in designing and developing multiple machine learning convolutional neural networks for use on and off the drone, and developed the data set for the machine learning models. I worked with the other members of the group to integrate the machine learning models with the other components of the drone. Additionally, I supported the other aspects of the drones construction, and helped develop the logic for the drone's overall system. Show less

  This internship has been a great opportunity for me to learn a variety of new skills and grow my understanding of electrical construction. I've been learning about everything from project management, to material and equipment coordination, to learning how to use CAD and develop building plans! This is and continues to be a very exciting opportunity for me and I'm eager to learn everything I can!

  Transportation engineer

  I am currently working as an Electrical Inspector for the Department of Construction for North Region. I work closely with Resident Engineers, contractors, and other departments to ensure that all construction is kept in compliance with project plans and specifications. I often review project documents including plans and specifications that are considered to be at 95% complete, as well as coordinate overall electrical inspection for projects in North Region jurisdiction, including work projection analysis for future construction seasons.
