  • Bosun 14 April 2008 – 29th March 2014I joined Sibelle during the last stages of her build and was involved with the ideas for the arrangement of on board storage before delivery to the owner to be followed by years of extensive cruising all around the Mediterranean. My duties involved: navigational watch keeping, Mooring procedures, tender driving and towing procedures for a Novurania Chase 23, ISM, LSA equipment safety checks and procedures and supervision and training of junior crew, responsible for all water sports activities and instruction for the owners and guests. I was also fully responsible for provisioning and deck maintenance where my skills include: painting and polishing (Awlgrip), sanding back and teak treatment & line work. I also used my design skills for designing crew uniforms, seasonal menus for food, wine and spirits & photography retouching for our guests. Show less

  • 1st Mate April 2014 – July 2014I joined M/Y Wild Thyme, a busy charter yacht, as a temporary 1st Mate for the beginning of the charter season cruising mainly the south of France and Corsica. My duties involved, stand alone navigational watch keeping, chart corrections, all the on-board monthly and weekly safety management system and LSA equipment check-ups and reports, Safety Drills, mooring and towing procedures for a 13m tender, tender driving, supervision of deck crew, implementation of work lists and was involved in all deck maintenance duties.   • Chief Officer July 2014 – September 2014I was employed directly by the owner in order to join his boat and work alongside him in what was a very interesting challenge.My role was mainly to support and oversee logistics and supervision of all contractors for deck maintenance, work instruction and implementation of the vast work list. I was immediately put in charge of recruiting, managing and supervising crew, training both deck and interior crew in order to organise and prepare the yacht for her delivery into France for her sale at the 2014 Cannes & Monaco Yacht shows.   •1st Mate 13rd – 12th December 2014 / 10th- 20th January 2015I assisted Como as a relief 1st mate / watch leader for the passage of her delivery from Antibes to Amsterdam via Palma and for the offshore passage in the Netherlands for the signature of her new owner. In this periods I was involved in stand-alone watch keeping through the passages, manoeuvring, safety checks, weather routing, radio communications, line handling and deckmaintenance upon deliveries.

  • Bosun 14th April 2015 – 20th June 2016I re - joined Sibelle responsible for the general maintenance of the vessel whilst in port and in the shipyard, this included painting and general up keeping duties on deck in order to keep her well maintained for the summer periods as potential buyers visited as I also worked on preparing her to present and display her on the Monaco Yacht Show 2015.   I was employed as Captain of Motoryacht Q4, a busy day charter boat based out of Cap D’ Ail. My responsibilities included: Overseeing of guests, safety on-board, organizing bookings and activities and ensuring the clients satisfaction at all times. I also actively promoted the vessel alongside and with a very positive relationship with agents of Mediterranean Yacht Services (Camper & Nicholsons) in order to achieve a successful charter season.From the day I joined and throughout the few quiet moments I also worked carefully on maintaining and achieving bringing her back up to standard after a rough winter and past busy charter seasons.Having the opportunity to work directly with a very satisfied owner and happy clients has been a very rewarding experience.   Leading a deck team of 4, my duties as Bosun included: Full reorganisation of deck storage, Preparation of vessel for Atlantic crossings in a very short notice whilst undergoing command change, Watch leader in Atlantic crossings and throughout the Caribbean & Mediterranean seasons, responsible for all deck maintenance and repairs and mainly as skipper and fully responsible of the running, overseeing and maintenance of the day boat Little Addiction, a Wajer 38S IPS 600 fitted with 2 Volvo Penta DS6 inboard engines with a top speed of 50 knots. Two of the long passages onboard Little Addiction included St. Thomas to Sint Marteen & Sint Marteen to Antigua in the Caribbean Islands. Show less

Crew recruiting and further training.Preparations for the shipment of the vessel from The Netherlands to Gibraltar followed by further cruising and photoshoots in the Mediterranean. Wally Shadow is fitted with 2 Caterpillar C12 850HP engines & 2 Cummins generators 27kW reaching a top speed of 13 knots.The vessel transports onboard a Ski-Nautique G23, a Landrover Defender 110, a Seadoo Spark amongst many other toys lifted by a 6.6T Crane.   M/Y D2 Private 26m 85GTI joined M/Y D2, based in Punta Sardinia on a very short notice and a week prior to the owners arrival for the summer season. I took over command the vessel and crew aiming on getting up to speed and to accomplish and close as much as possible of the unfinished winter work list prior to starting a surprisingly successful 2019 summer season. M/Y D2 is a fast displacement yacht which accomplishes top speed of 40 knots powered by 2x MTU 2600 and thrusted by twin propellers. The onboard electrical system is supplied by 2 Cummins Onan 13 & 20Kw Generators. D2 operates with a crew of 4 and her cruising areas are mainly Sardinia & Corsica. Show less
