Developed comprehensive Operations Manual, EHS Regulatory Manuals and Training for 5 remote powerplants.•Assisted with start-up and commissioning of three John Brown packaged Frame 6 simple-cycle gas turbines with Mark V controls and Honeywell SCAN 3000 distributed control system.•Engaged in performance testing and start-up operations for triple redundant gas turbine power plant with grid load following capabilities.•Developed site-specific operational procedures for SSOI Operations Manual.•Developed and implemented Safety Management Plan.•Assisted with the establishment of new Regional Office in Perth, Western Australia.       Assistant Plant Manager, Sacramento Cogen Authority II, Sacramento, CA Operations and Maintenance responsibilities during construction, commissioning and first full O&M Contract.•On-site engineering support beginning shortly after ground breaking through start-up, Phase I and Phase II Operations.•Assisted plant owner, Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD), with review of project design drawings, equipment specifications, facility layout and other construction details for a 130 MW combined cycle power plant which provides power to SMUD and process steam to Proctor & Gamble.•Plant consisted of two GE LM-6000 aero-derivative combustion turbine generators, two Nooter-Erickson HRSG’s, one 45 MW GE Steam Turbine, one Babcock & Wilcox auxiliary boiler, two Trane absorption chillers and all supporting equipment.•Interviewed and hired entire staff of 12 O&M personnel with zero attrition and zero lost time due to injuries for the duration of the contract.•Developed site specific Safety Management Plan and Operating Procedures.•Specified and procured over one million dollars in spare parts and tooling.•Responsible for operations and maintenance of entire plant.•Successfully interface with government regulatory agencies, local utility and thermal host.•Responsible for scheduling all O & M personnel and for conducting annual employee performance appraisals.•Established Computerized Inventory and Preventive Maintenance system using Mainsaver.•Assumed all responsibilities of Plant Manager in his absence.•Planned, organized and executed three major annual outages and several monthly maintenance outages.•Managed facility capital improvement projects.•Managed all plant equipment warranty claims, 252 claims representing over $300,000. Led team of 18 direct reports including management team, operations, maintenance and administrative personnel. Developed and managed annual operating budget in excess of $12M and a capital budget in excess of $2M. Managed Long Term Service Agreement through full contract term. Negotiated new long term agreement prior to expiration. Responsible for all environmental, health and safety compliance concerns at the facility. Sucessfully led plant to achieve VPP Star and ISO 9001 certification. Project manager for large capital projects including preparation of bid specifications. Show less

Responsible for all regulatory compliance for River Road Generating Plant. Coordinate all maintenance activities with Utility, Plant Operator and Balancing Authority. Manage O&M contract between Clark Public Utilities and the Plant Operator. Manage Long Term Service Agreement on major plant equipment.
