Her practice is a phenomenological approach to understanding the relationship between exterior topography of body, architecture and place, and the interior tapestry of psychological states. This relational dialectics between the physiological and the psychological is expressed through her paintings and sculptures that foreground the architecture of her as a person and an artist.Lee is also interested in the way shared experiences creates connection through Art and art-making. She often works with people to gather information and resources in her research for ideas pertaining to Home, Identity and Self; She is curious to explore how the relationship between these three entities be presented differently. Her work seeks to empower the individual through collective identification. Her work thrives on the spontaneity of individual autonomy in art making. She works mainly with traditional mediums such as graphite, acrylic, ink and clay. She believes Art should be accessible and as such, uses Art as a medium to work with children and the underprivileged to encourage expression and creation. Show less Creates content and facilitates workshops with a variety of community types with focus on social engagement, critical thinking, experimental play and ways of expression. The content of her workshops centres largely on notions of Home, Self and Identity.
