      I attended a 5 week placement at Precision Physio, Mt Druitt. My main experience include taking client history, conducting objective and functional assessments for musculoskeletal injuries, using Gensolve Practice Manager software for client bookings and note taking, performing manual treatment techniques (lumbar, thoracic and cervical PAIVM, soft tissue release, active release technique and trigger point release), exercise prescription for improving strength, flexibility, motor control, deep core activation, prescribing foam roller and trigger ball, practicing knee and ankle taping and observing physiotherapists on site. The main clients I have seen are work compensation, EPC, private and NDIS patients. I have also engaged in play therapy with paediatric patients with ADHD and DCD conditions mainly to train their strength and balance. Show less

      I have spent 5 weeks working along with the acute rehabilitation team in Prince of Wales Hospital where I work closely together with other physiotherapists and occupational therapists to deliver extra therapy sessions to patients to speed up their recovery. Most patients I have seen had neurological conditions (ischaemic and hemorrhagic stroke, CIDP, chemotherapy induced toxicity, subarachnoid haemorrhage, normal hydrocephalus, Parkinson's disease, post craniectomy/craniotomy/spinal surgery and multiple sclerosis). Occasionally I will head to the cardiopulmonary ward and orthopedics ward. I often conduct initial assessments including history taking, performing neurological assessments, assessing functional mobility, balance and providing exercise therapy. I also use Power Chart (EMR software) to document patients' notes, check up their latest medical note entry, interpret their obs, flowsheet and medical imaging to help devise a treatment plan and establish precautions and contraindications (e.g. Postural hypotension and low platelets)I also take part in discharge in terms of performing ISBAR hand ober internally within the hospital and writing up an ISBAR discharge summary for discharging patients to other rehab hospitals.       I have completed my physiotherapy placement at Warrigal care's residential aged care facility in Albion Park Rail. As a physiotherapy student, I have enjoyed conducting community exercise classes with the residents and design individual exercise programs tailored to each resident's needs, whether for it to be balance training, muscle strengthening or cardiovascular endurance training in order to keep them active and mobile as well as to improve their quality of life. I have also provided an in-service presentation about the SUNBEAM program for falls prevention and incorporated evidence based practice to resident's care. I am also pleased to have the opportunity of seeing a variety of clinical presentations ranging from neurological, musculoskeletal, orthopaedic to cardiopulmonary conditions and it really helps in broadening my clinical exposure.       Physiotherapy placement at Waverton Physio, Sydney Physio GroupDuring my 5 week placement, I was able to progressively teach and lead Reformer Pilates group exercise classes under supervision of my clinical educators to help clients to achieve their fitness goals while monitoring their symptoms.I also had the opportunity to shadow clinic sessions, conduct subjective assessments, provide manual therapy and prescribe, progress and regress rehabilitation exercises that are suited with client goals and effectively addressing their physical impairments.       I continued my role in Care Squared as a full time community physiotherapist in February 2024 and I have continued to endeavour to deliver patient centred care to NDIS participants including paediatric, adult and geriatric population. I have had to opportunity to collaborate with other allied health professionals within a multidisciplinary team and stake holders to assist with NDIS participants with an array of conditions to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life. Some of these conditions include different degrees of cerebral palsy, chronic pain, various degrees of intellectual disability, developmental delay, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Some of my key responsibilities are conducting subjective and objective assessments, identifying participants needs, recommending relevant NDIS support, setting goals together with participants and their family, planning and carrying out physiotherapy interventions as well as educating participants and relevant stakeholders for home exercise programs, pain management strategies and promoting the importance of an active lifestyle to physical and mental health. Show less I started working as an Allied Health Assistant at Care Squared in Sydney in the course of transition to Humanity Health Group's 2024 New Graduate Program. In this role, I have liaised with physiotherapists and NDIS stake holders to help NDIS participants from various age groups to reach their goals and achieve a higher quality of life. My main duties include travelling to participants' home to conduct individualised physiotherapy intervention, composing Intervention Action Plans, SOAP notes and utilising Flow Logic to organise appointments.
