      Jan 1989 - Jan 2012
      Founder / President

Yak Pak began as an idea for a better backpack while traveling through Tibet during my undergraduate years at Georgetown University. Over time, it evolved into a leading daypack brand with offices in the United States, El Salvador and Vietnam including a wholly-owned, 400-person manufacturing facility. The brand Yak Pak was eventually licensed out across multiple product categories extending the brand's reach to over 12,000 retail locations across the USA. Yak Pak was also the first US company to implement SAP Business One earning it a spot in SAP’s, ‘Best Run Companies Run SAP’ campaign. The company served at various times as exclusive licensee for such brands as Levi's, Dickies, Wrangler, Coleman, and MTV and in most instances, was responsible for launching those brands into the bag business. In 2011, the company was sold to Accessory Network Group where I worked as President of the Yak Pak Division until 2012.
