      • Responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repairing and overhaul of light aircraft up to 2730kgs; primarily Cessna and Piper aircraft. • Extensive knowledge gained in manufacturing processes, design, with development of tools, processes, equipment and materials. • Continuously improving quality, delivery and lead time requirements, but still working to the compliances of the CAA requirements.• Strong insight into the full spectrum of aviation engineering processes, components and manufacturing methods. • Using engineering experience to solve problems relating to aircraft malfunctions and dilemmas. Thoroughly inspecting aircraft to ensure they meet current requirements. Working in a team and individually to solve problems that have occurred. • Additional duties include conducting EASA Part M, Subparts F G and I. Once I have gained qualification I will become fully licensed in working with small light aircraft, with the intention then to become a Chartered Engineer. • Liaising with flying school and the provision of assistance with PPL (JAR + NPPL), assisting pilots and customers with any aircraft maintenance and engineering. • When owners are absent I manage the airfield and take responsibility for all aspects of the company.• Trained Fireman within the company.       • Small team based at Airbus in Toulouse, France. Interface with Airbus and the Airline customers. Final stage in the production process before handover to the customer. • Working predominately on the Trent XWB, but also the Trent 700 and 900. Key member of the integration from the XWB Flying Test Bed through to the first Production Engine. Continuing to work closely with the Flight Test team on new programs• Working closely on the engines while in the Aircraft facility has given a greater knowledge and understanding of the functionality and the Aerospace business as a whole. • Customer interaction, working closely with Airbus and the Airlines themselves. Every day challenges are created that have to be answered promptly and correctly. High standard of response is required to ensure the customer is satisfied. • Full understanding and knowledge of Airbus / Rolls Royce internal processes, including the SAM, QIDS’s, QSR’s, QLB’s and QSR’s. Working closely with the customer to ensure these customer complaints are answered efficiently and correctly. • Run the SAM file review with Airbus: Have the capacity to defend the RR position in front of the customer to minimise the number of impacting snags on Rolls-Royce• Continue to lead and participate in 8D investigations and improve the overall Disruption Index faced against RR Toulouse • Closely working with programme partners Aircelle and UTAS. Continuing to improving a challenging relationship.• It is a demanding role and tasks need to be carried out to a high standard. Demanding hours 12 hour shift.• Role included working on both engine and module build. Therefore this role required extensive knowledge in both sectors.
