  • Experience

    • Young Enterprise UK

      Sept 2014 - Jul 2015
      Managing Director

As Managing Director of Herb House, our Young Enterprise Company selling grow-your-own herb kits, the Young Enterprise experience was invaluable. From managing twelve girls to develop an award winning company I developed my leadership skills as well as strong people management skills. Herb House were awarded with ‘Company of the Year 2015’ for our area and ‘Best Company Report’, which I was especially proud of since I wrote the report; along with winning the ‘Environmental Award’ in the quarter finals of the national competition. Young Enterprise provided me with vital business experience, from dealing with the public to negotiating sales contracts with a corporate client (garden centre chain). Show less

    • Cisco

      Feb 2016 - Feb 2016
      Work Experience

Taking part in the Cisco A-Level Work Experience Programme has proved invaluable in forming an understanding of the workplace and developing my presentation skills. We shadowed employees during their day and learned details about different types of technology and how they could be used in a work environment. Furthermore, presenting to our peers and Cisco professionals in a ‘Dragon’s Den’ type scenario, which we won, helped me develop my presentation skills, teamwork skills and leaderships skills as I was nominated by our team to manage the process. As a senior counsellor supervising, and mentoring camp counsellors under my unit, Alleghany has allowed me to develop my leadership and communication skills. Working at Alleghany truly enhanced my appreciation for teamwork and how working together can make all the difference in a high pressure environment. Show less
