      THE Drugs Misuse Community Cultural Development Initiative with Arts North West and Outback Arts working with the Premier’s Department’s Drugs and Community Action Strategy. involved people from areas as diverse as the police, Juvenile Justice, Community Services, Corrective Services, youth centres, youth refuges, health, education and drug action groups — not to mention the targeted kids themselves, the project coordinators and the artists.The project, which had a budget of $388 000 — a grant from the Police Department’s Confiscated Funds Program —employed the well-established BIG hART model, which brings people together from across a range of key agencies to formulate appropriate local strategies before embarking on programs and workshops with stakeholders and participants Show less
