Conduct field office reviews, audits, and assessments of PHAs on a semi-annual basis for federal compliance and fair & equal housing policy. Review and approve annual budgets for several PHAs. Conduct training seminars for PHAs on new federally funded housing and/or updated programs. Attend regional and national training and certification seminars - as directed by HUD. Show less

And, Hilliard was selected "Best Hometowns for 2012", by Ohio Magazine.I became Chairman of the City of Hilliard P&Z on Jan. 1, 2014. Our P&Z Member responsibilities include: Develop and implement public policy in regards to the adopted Comprehensive Plan and investigate future development trends and patterns for a municipality of 32,000 people. Review (for approval) proposed developments including residential, commercial, industrial, and PUDs in a public meeting format, and forward a recommendation on to City Council. Consulting with local elected and appointed public officials including the Mayor and Council on new growth strategies and opportunities for Hilliard and surrounding areas. As Chairman, worked closely with administration on a complete change of the entire zoning code (including text and map) for the city, in early 2014. The first wholesale zoning code change in several decades. Adopted by the P&Z Commission in July 2014; Council in August 2014. Below are some of the Hilliard projects or commissions I have worked on since 2001:• Planning & Zoning Commission (2002-Present) – Vice Chairman, 2012-2013• Graphics Commission (2001-2005) – Vice Chairman, 2003-05• P&Z - "Rules of Operation" (adopted Oct. 2016), first revision since 2000• Parks and Open Space Master Plan, Board Advisory Member, (2014-2015)• Comprehensive Plan Task Force Member (2011, and 2003)• Hilliard Growth Task Force (2003)The City was awarded the "2006 Project of the Year Award for the Britton Parkway Extension", presented by the American Public Works Association (Ohio). The area once sladed for residential development - is now a public park.
