This system is used onboard Princess Cruise lines ships and at the docks to record sales amounts and account for inventory of Art (paintings) and items won at auctions on the cruise. The RF transmission is between Symbol 6100 handheld DOS devices and a WaveLink applications server located at the Boca Raton, FL Data Processing center. The Wavelink application server updates both MS Access and MSSQL Server databases in Boca Raton, FL and Long Beach, CA. PowerBuilder 7.0 was used to write actual application code which is then interpreted by the WaveLink interpreter and RF'd to and from the Symbol handheld device. Show less
