  I worked in the Family Law department with a team of paralegals. I mainly engaged in a lot of admin tasks including filing, composing letters to clients and local authorities. I shadowed one of the lawyers on the community outreach session where members of the community can come and receive free legal advice. I quickly learnt to navigate my way through Filos (database system) recording billable hours in the form of client interactions, important phone calls and emails. Accompanied one of the paralegals to CJC to obtain and non-molestation order for a client. I observed the exchange with the judge and how to provide the upmost advocacy and representation for clients. Show less
