  Twice a year the University of Twente hosts its open days where all bachelor studies give high school students a clear picture of their curriculum. As a student I guide students, host activities like brainstorm rounds and promote my bachelor study Creative Technology as well as the University of Twente as a whole. As a student assistant it is my job to help first year students with their programming assignments and exercises. The subject is called Programming and Physical computing, which teaches students to program in Processing and create physical set-ups using Arduino. As a student of a day mentor I plan appointments with secondary school students who were interested in my bachelor study. During the day I guided them and showed them around the University.

  Aquarium Genius

  In januari 2019 begon ik Aquarium Genius met als doel om zo veel mogelijk mensen iets te leren over het houden van een zoetwater aquarium. Ik schreef mijn eigen teksten en bouwde aan het uiterlijk van de website. Na een trage start kwamen er steeds meer bezoekers op mijn website. Ik ging samenwerken met internationale schrijvers om meer informatie te publiceren. Op het hoogtepunt kreeg Aquarium Genius meer dan 100 duizend bezoekers per maand.Ik heb geleerd hoe het is om mensen te trainen en processen in te richten. Ik heb samengewerkt met schrijvers, editors, webdesigners, SEO experts, video editors, proofreaders en nog veel meer professionals. Show less

  Art of Tech

  Art of Tech bevordert de samenwerking tussen bedrijven in Twente op een leuke en nieuwe manier. We verhuren technische kunst sculpturen en bieden hiermee een manier voor bedrijven om zonder zorgen mooie stukken techniek tentoon te stellen. Alle designs en installaties worden ingebracht door lokale makers met een passie voor techniek. Het woord kunst klinkt misschien stoffig, maar wij richten ons echt op design waar het hart van een techneut sneller van gaat kloppen en bedrijven zich mee kunnen profileren. Het idee is afgelopen zomer ontstaan en komt voort uit een samenwerking tussen Clemens Mensink en Bart Sprenkels die elkaar 4 jaar geleden hebben leren kennen tijdens een project op de Universiteit Twente; Clemens als opdrachtgever en Bart als student. Doordat de subsidieaanvraag door de gemeente is gehonoreerd kan het idee nu echt van start! Show less

  Een van mijn mooiste en meest dankbare bijbanen so far was werken bij Ferentes. Ik was kistdrager bij uitvaarten. Als drager werkte we in een team van 6 en reden we vanaf Enschede door heel Nederland.

  Podcast Host & Video Content Creator

  Ik ben verantwoordelijk voor het opzetten en inrichten van een Nederlandstalige videopodcast voor ondernemers. We gaan het hebben over het beginnen van een eigen onderneming en alles wat daar bij komt kijken. Om dit te realizeren hebben we een high-tech videostudio ingericht in Hengelo, waar we gasten uitnodigen om te vertellen over hun ervaringen.
